Billboard- finish version
The background represents the show, presenting the audience with a familiar location from the trailer, showing consistency across the products.
• The ITV branding is consistent and obvious for the audience.
• The minimal approach to the poster works well in showing the audience a metaphor for loneliness and isolation. Which occur throughout the show.
• The inclusion of the two main characters from the drug storyline generates familiarity for the audience who have seen the trailer.
• The costumes stick with the style established by the trailer and show class & age of the characters.
• The poster isn't over cluttered with text and makes it easy for the audience to pick up on the main themes quickly and easily.
• The tagline of the poster has no fixed meaning so the audience are forced to negotiate the reading creating debate and generating more publicity
• The way the stars interact with the camera and are performing is consistent to the personalities set out in the trailer & represents the attitude and tone of the show.

Billboard- second version
As you can see i changed the several aspects of the billboard to fit in with the audience feedback i received on the last draft,i feel this is more like a real product however the AUDIENCE FEEDBACK is as follows;
Change the colour of the black text- I was told i needed to change the colour so it was easier to read, i also went on to change the '1' of ITV 1 to increase brand recognition.
Stretch George Street- I had to manipulate the size of the george street writing as with it being that small it doesn't fit the conventions of the ITV instituiatonal branding

Billboard- first draft
AUDIENCE FEEDBACK- The background needs to be desaturated to give the soap a grittier feel, the 2 characters needed to be the same size to give the poster a more balanced feel. the font of 'good television' also doesnt work as i had misinterpritated the exsisting product i had taken it from.

Finished magazine front cover
As you can see i did make several of the changes from my first draft as suggested from my audience feedback. I added the barcode and price which were requirements for the magazine, however i didnt add the banner and change the layout as the suggested lay out look more squashed onto the page and didnt fit around the picture as well.
